I think I am finally going to learn all of "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" by heart. I've known parts of it since high school, but I've always wanted to know it all. I think I'm going to work on it again.

In other news, we did something like 25 samples for Urban in about 3 days. I am beyond exhausted. But I now also have my Very Own Intern, which is kind of cool. It's a little weird that she's like 4 years older than me, but whatever.

My apartment is chilly. All I do is work work work. I'm too tired to do anything.

My life is really super boring these days!

Oh yeah, I was a really really unattractive Assistant (to the) Regional Manager for Halloween. The party was fun, too.

Presenting, Things My Cat Has Left In The Hallway For Me To Find When I Get Home

Just about every day when I get home from work, I open the door to my apartment to find a fun, new object sitting in my previously clean hallway, something my cat has found and put there for me to see. She is best cat.

To begin, the day before yesterday's treasures:

Umbrella, sock.

HEY GUYS:

I don't know what to be for Halloween this year! Usually I have it figured out by now, but I have no clue!

Please suggest hilarious pop culture figures for me to dress as! Here are some of my past choices:

Karl Lagerfeld
Amy Winehouse
Debbie Harry from Blondie

HALP

Now it is a lovely day so I am going to H&M! :D

This is the BIGGEST PHOTOPOST EVER I AM SO SERIOUS

If you're friends with some of my friends, you've probably seen most of these photos, but I'm posting some of my favorites (stolen from Leonard and Mark) and the ones I took, too. There are a billion of them! In the past two weeks, there were three parties - enjoy!

EDIT: Okay, I have to divide this up into three posts, for it is just too much!

1) So I'm laughably low on groceries right now, but I spent $30+ on two books and a coffee today, so I'm trying to not spend anything on food right now. Cue me foraging through the depths of my (tiny) freezer! I found a little tupperware of curry sauce I had saved from a long-ago order of massaman chicken once the chicken was gone, so I'm getting creative! I'm trying to replicate the hamburger curry from Curry House in LA, with the sauce, some semi-decent instant rice, and a Gardenburger. Oh, and a Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale, in case it tastes horrible.

2) While walking back through Restaurant Row from Barnes & Noble today, I had a guy actually say "hubba hubba" as I went by. I don't think that has ever happened. I mean, really, who says "hubba hubba?"

3) Actually, it's pretty tasty, for a cobbled-together meal from the freezer! YAY I AM A CHEF :F

4) Oh snap, my birthday is on the 25th of this month! I think I'll just do a food/bar thing, because I think there will be some sort of awesome Halloween party the following weekend.

5) Speaking of Halloween, I have decided on my costume, one I've wanted to do ever since I first heard Miss [info]horrorvacuii suggest in ages ago:

Karl Lagerfeld! He's my fave.

OH MAN. So this last week was RIDICULOUS. Events include, but are not limited to, as follows:

+ Getting Very Drunk on Friday, when Alex came up, with various people
+ Birthday party on Saturday!
+ Getting Very Drunk on Saturday after (during) birthday party
+ Seeing a terrible film for Halloween spirit
+ Eating approximately 8.5 empanadas
+ Skipping French class once
+ Dressing as Amy Winehouse
+ Getting Very Drunk on Halloween with the strongest mojitos ever and other tasty items

I am just about partied out. And tired of having people in my apartment that aren't me. For a little while, anyway.

I think it's about time for a photopost!

Nah, you're not getting a cut.

I ordered some inkjet tattoo paper, so I'll have all her fab tattoos for Halloween, too. As well as a blacked-out tooth on the right side.

Did you know that it's surprisingly hard to find an Elvira wig in NYC? Here's why I need one: this basically equals this. Man I am SO excited about this costume. Also need to buy:

+ Woven metallic belt
+ White or black wifebeater
+ Satin ballet slippers
+ Something to black out one of my teeth
+ Ghetto hoop earrings
+ Printable fake tattoo paper

Has anyone ever used that tattoo printer paper? Know where to get it? I'll feel silly having to order a pack of paper from the interbutts.

In other news, stopped by Health Services today to see about my bum foot. They said to give it a week and gave me some super mondo ibuprofen, which is okay by me. Hopefully it'll buck up. I've developed a comical little limp. I've also been forced to wear sneakers for the past few days. Granted, they're cute little Diesel sneakers, but I feel like Sporty Spice.

Intarweb Yard Sale coming soon!

Halloween costume has been decided: Stacy and I are going to be Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, complete with skinny pants and hideously oversized sweater tunics and too many bracelets and bug-eye sunglasses and voluminous handbags and nasty hair. And the ventiest venti lattes that ever ventied. And the trademark Olsen Slump. Hilarious? Highly appropriate for fashion students? Yes I think so.

Note to self: when making tuna helper, try not to taste it while it's BOILING HOT. I managed to burn my tongue something fierce.

I woke up way later than usual today, and it totally threw me off, and I haven't felt like doing anything. I hate getting up later than 10 or so because I always feel like I've wasted my day, and I totally did today, with the exception of a quick visit from Ollie (thank you again for the cookbook!) and finishing my ugly sweater for Flat Pattern. (Said ugly sweater is huge and shapeless, and will be sported for that Halloween costume I was just talking about.) I think I'll just have to write off today as FAIL and get some stuff done tomorrow. Maybe I'll go out for coffee first thing. That would be nice.

I think I may buy the soundtrack to Marie Antoinette, because it's pretty rad.

Also, thank you for the retarded amount of comments on the Faye wig! I totally don't understand what was SO worth commenting on, but thanks regardless! <3<3 I'm very excited about this costume. ^_^

3 hours of sleep just doesn't cut it, kids.

Thusly, it may be a rather uneventful Halloween for Madame Dia, probably consisting of 30 intimate apparel thumbnails, putting the facings on my raglan project for Patternmaking, and cleaning things up.

Because all of that is boring, hey, here are some photos!

HALLOWEEN HAS BEEN DECIDED:

ME: punky/tacky Queen of Hearts
ESTEPHANY: punky/cute Alice
CASSIE: cute/lolita White Rabbit

Mind you, this is all done mostly with stuff we already have - for me, that's my Queenypants wig, this blazer Twinkle got me in Japan that I appliqued a big red crown onto the back, torn hem denim mini, white 80's pumps. I may go to H&M and buy a cheap bustier-type top. I already bought some red thigh-high fishnets (already have a black garter belt) and black fishnet gloves, and also a huge hideously tacky plastic crown. I shall also have fun belts and jewelry. WOOO YAY FOR CHEAP COSTUMES

So yeah, I'm actually excited now! Trick-or-treating in the dorms tomorrow night for nerdy fun, and Alexis' party on Monday night.

HOLY JESUS I HAVE A BUNCH OF SHIT TO DO THIS WEEKEND THAT I HAVE NOT DONE OH GOD

I believe I have chosen my Halloween costume:

SILENT HILL NURSE!

One of these babies. Maybe a combination of both, since I won't be doing the bubble-head thing on the right.

Cassie is going to be PYRAMID HEAD.

HOORAY!
